The air has been thick with full moon and fall equinox energy; cleaning and decluttering, physically and emotionally. I feel like I was on a high from Friday to Wednesday, and I’ve been slowly coming down today. Thankfully, it hasn’t been too fast of a crash, like I felt nice and chill this morning but it definitely feels like I’m coming down just a tad less than abruptly now.
I released a lot of dead and draining energy on Monday. Things that I’d been brushing off as being over and done with or just ignoring because it didn’t seem like there was anything left for me to do with the feelings that were lingering. I had 2 impromptu releasing sessions, one with my oldest sis and the other with my soul sis.
In these sessions is where I realized what needed to be done to rid myself of the negative energy attached to certain experiences, people and beliefs that I no longer consciously associated myself with.
I needed to let it all go. Subconsciously. Energetically so.
With intentions and assistance from the ethers. I needed to directly address the things hounding me in my memories and express my last sentiments as I let go of the remnants that still somewhat haunted me.
And then the next day, I purged physically. I started on my quest to a holistically clean home. I swept, threw things out, moved stuff around, put new things up and wiped light switches and railings down. All of that was working me up to finally pulling out the mop and getting my floors wet.
This rolled over to Wednesday. Then I researched how to properly mop because as embarrassing as it was, I’d been living in my place for over 2 years now and not once had I mopped the floors. That was such a daunting chore for me and I think it all boiled down to overthinking the process. Another reflection of outdated thinking plaguing my life. All I needed to do was take my time, go one step at a time, take breaks in between but ultimately believe in me and do some mirror work for added reinforcement.
So I mopped up my home from top to bottom, cleaned up my kitchen and threw the mop water out my back door on my patio. Then made some golden milk with chamomile added and using coconut milk instead of oat milk. It was decent but not as comforting as it be with oat milk because of the watery consistency but it did the trick.
Then I woke up and I felt the difference in the air quality. Everything just felt so open and free. I burnt some sage to add some extra umph in the cleansing, windows up and hopped in the shower. Another add on to cleansing my entire being. I washed all residual energy from me and watched it go down the drain. After that is when I started feeling less eager about going out for the day but I got dressed, in my most comfiest outfit and went out anyway.
By the time I got to my first destination I was just tired and hungry. I wanted to go home and rest but more things were on my to do list. So, I went and got some tamales from this place I had been eyeing for years and, simply put, never will I ever go there again.
I finished up my errands, spent some time with my oldest sister, grabbed some food for my dad, took it to him and dropped off his other requests, talked with him for a bit then headed back home. Omg, the day was draining but moreso mentally. After all that cleaning and releasing, my energetic body just needed to relax.
The Fall Equinox signals the time for renewal and balance. A mixture of action and relaxation. I’m realizing that my experiences over the years has led me to be prepared for each season and adjust as necessary to stay in the flow within myself while flowing with the universe.
I never know for a 100% fact that I’m doing right but I’m always reassured that I’m not wrong in adhering to the calling of just being me, loving and evolving as I see and feel fit. I absolutely love this space that I’ve settled in.
Next phase: Blossoming.
